Terms of Service
Effective August 6, 2026 · KingsKode Ltd.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and KingsKode Ltd. ("KingsKode", "we") covering your use of the AthleteKit API, its documentation, dashboard, and websites (together, the "Service"). Creating an API key, an account, or a subscription — or calling the API at all — means you accept them. If you use the Service for an organization, you accept for that organization.
2. The Service
AthleteKit is a read-only JSON API serving a movement database and periodized training programs, metered per API key. Plans, quotas, and rate limits are described on the pricing page and enforced by the API. We may change the catalog's contents at any time; published program versions are immutable once released.
3. API keys and accounts
- Keys are secrets. You are responsible for keeping them out of public clients, repositories, and logs, and for all usage under your keys.
- One person or organization per key. Sharing, renting, or pooling keys to evade metering is prohibited.
- Trial and free keys are for evaluation and personal projects; we may reclaim keys that are inactive for over 12 months.
- Dashboard accounts are authenticated by a third-party identity provider (Clerk); its terms apply to sign-in.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly by plan) and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and paid features (including higher quotas and routine documents) end then. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
- If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend the associated key until payment succeeds.
- Prices may change; changes apply from your next renewal, and we will announce them in advance on the pricing page.
- Commercial use — serving AthleteKit data to your own paying users — requires the Pro plan or higher.
5. Data license
The catalog — movements, taxonomies, and program documents — is licensed, not sold. While your plan is active you may query, cache, and display it inside your own applications and services. You may not bulk-export, redistribute, resell, or republish the dataset itself (or a substantial portion of it) as a standalone product, dataset, or competing API. Aggregations and derived features computed for your own users are yours.
6. Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, and no use that infringes others' rights.
- No circumventing metering, rate limits, quotas, or the docs demo key's origin restrictions.
- No probing, scanning, or disrupting the Service beyond your metered access.
- The training content is general information, not medical advice; your application is responsible for its own disclaimers to end users.
7. Availability
The Service is provided without an uptime guarantee. Service-level commitments exist only in a signed Partner agreement. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice; versioned API contracts (/v1) will not change incompatibly without a version bump.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or revoke keys that violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or go unpaid. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections 5, 9, and 10 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND THE CATALOG ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KINGSKODE'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
